The TroopMaster 2008+ Import will save alot of typing time by pulling account, roster, and achievement data directly from your TroopMaster database to populate your website automatically.
Upon initial import this feature will
- Create a website account for each scout, parent, and adult
- Group scouts together into Patrols
- Link scouts and parents in child/parent relationships
- Assign leadership positions to both scouts and parents/adults
- Associate achievement information with individual scouts
When importing you can control
- If website accounts are Active or Blocked
- Active = The can login using the username/password of their individual account
- Blocked = The cannot login using the individual account, can still login using the shared accounts, and their information is available for display in the Roster.
- If new accounts will receive an email notification
- If accounts not found in TroopMaster will be removed
Upon subsequent imports, this feature will
- Add new accounts and relationships
- Remove old accounts and relationships (if the options is selected)
- Update information on any existing members
To use this feature:
- Read the Data Guidelines section and update TroopMaster data as needed
- Export data from TroopMaster 2008+
- Run the Verify function to validate your data
- Fix any errors in your TroopMaster data and go back to the Export step
- Run the Import function
